Okay, I don’t want to over-sell it, but it is really darn good! This family treasure redefines the traditional pizza experience by embracing a bread-free foundation and eliminating the inflammatory foods that weigh us down. It is a guilt-free Omnivore and Carnivore-inspired alternative to the pizza that poisons us.

The allure of the Omnivore Pizza lies not only in its exquisite taste but also in its adaptability to various dietary lifestyles. So, whether you’re a culinary enthusiast seeking a new adventure in flavors or a health-conscious individual looking to satiate your cravings with a nutritious twist, the Omnivore Pizza stands ready to deliver. Okay, enough with the sales pitch. Let’s get down to business!

Omnivore Pizza Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (12.5 ounces each) of shredded chicken – or – 1 hand-picked shredded Rotisserie Chicken
  • 1 to 2 pounds of ground beef (according to preference)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cans (6 ounces each) of tomato paste (plain or seasoned per preference)
  • 8 ounces finely shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 5 ounces (about 10 tbsp) of grated parmesan cheese (per preference)
  • Taco Seasoning (homemade or packaged, per preference)
  • Dry Seasonings: Garlic Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cumin (to taste)
  • Note: You may also use Italian seasoning, oregano, or other preferred seasonings.

Directions:

Preparing the Pizza Crust:

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the finely shredded chicken, 3 eggs, parmesan cheese, and dry seasonings. Mix thoroughly until well combined. If the mixture does not stick together, you may need to add another egg, especially if using more chicken.
  • Line a 9×13 oven-safe pan or pizza pan with parchment paper. This is crucial to prevent sticking.
  • Spread the dough mixture evenly in the pan, using another sheet of parchment paper to flatten it. This will create the crust.

Baking the Crust:

  • Place the prepared crust in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until the crust is golden and set.

Preparing the Taco Meat:

  • While the crust is baking, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Once cooked, strain the excess grease and add the taco seasoning. If using a taco seasoning packet, follow the instructions on the packet. If using homemade taco seasoning, you may need to add a bit of water to prevent clumping.

Assembling the Pizza:

  • Remove the baked crust from the oven.
  • Spread both cans of tomato paste evenly over the crust, ensuring complete coverage.
  • Layer the seasoned taco meat evenly over the tomato paste, covering the crust completely.
  • Sprinkle the entire bag of shredded Mozzarella cheese over the taco meat.
  • Preheat the broiler in the oven to 500°F (260°C).
  • Place the pizza under the broiler for a few minutes or until the cheese reaches your desired level of crispiness and golden brown color. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Final Steps:

  • Carefully remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Now, as far as its presentation, you can do it in a variety of ways. Round pans or square doesn’t really matter. It’s all going to end up in your gut anyway. Moreover, you can pepperoni, egg, sausage, or whatever else you like. And keeping in line with the omnivore approach, you can even add things like pineapples. We have done it in a variety of ways.
